Wills & Trusts
Helps you put a will in place and consider trusts, so your estate is passed on the way you intend.
How it works
We talk through your wishes and who matters most to you
We set your trusts up directly, and introduce you to a specialist for your will
Your estate is set up to pass to the right people, exactly as you intend
A will sets out what happens to your money, property and possessions after you die, and who should look after any children under 18. Without one, your estate is distributed according to fixed intestacy rules — which may not reflect what you'd actually want, especially for unmarried couples, who have no automatic right to inherit from each other.
A trust is a separate legal arrangement that can hold assets — like a life insurance payout, or property — on behalf of your beneficiaries, often used alongside a will. Trusts can help money reach the right people faster, and can sit outside your estate for inheritance tax purposes, or provide for children until they reach a certain age. We set trusts up directly as part of your protection, at no extra cost — it's simply part of doing the job properly.
For the will itself, we work with a dedicated will-writing specialist rather than drafting it in-house, so you get a proper, focused service rather than a rushed add-on. If you set up your protection with us, we'll cover the cost of getting your will in place through them.

Worth knowing
- We set up trusts directly as part of your protection — there's no referral or extra cost for this
- For wills specifically, we hand over to a dedicated specialist, and cover the cost if you've set up protection with us
- Getting married or divorced can automatically affect the validity of an existing will
- Unmarried partners have no automatic inheritance rights in England and Wales, regardless of how long you've lived together
- Reviewing your will after a house purchase, remortgage or new child is generally good practice
Common questions
Trusts we handle directly, as part of your protection — for example, writing a life insurance policy in trust. It's only the will itself that we hand over to a specialist for.
